Session Title: MakerSquare: The Hub for Career Changers in Technology

How does a 12-week career accelerator for software engineering prepare graduates to join top flight engineering teams? Why are bootcamps so successful in training future software engineers? Go behind the scenes of MakerSquare to find out how they are flipping the traditional computer science degree on its head and crafting skilled software engineers in just three months.

NewCo L.A. guests will get a tour of the campus and a chance to have any questions answered during a Q&A led by Managing Director Michael Frank. Then, students of the graduating class will showcase the skill set they've garnered in the program by presenting their final projects including 50/50, an event planning app, cryptFit, a social platform for fitness enthusiasts, and OnWords, a social network for sharing annotated versions of web content.
