Session Title: The La Start-up Scene Is on Fire... How to Play a Role No Matter Where You Sit in the Eco-System

Take a walk through the incredible growth of the LA eco-system and gain insight into how the venture community looks at making an investment. Learn how the Internet’s evolution from the infrastructure layer to the application layer places immense value on brand building, storytelling, and design. Technology is no longer enough. This session will provide guidance for entrepreneurs around how to go about raising rounds and how to avoid the pitfalls of vanity metrics. Then, enjoy a panel discussion featuring some of LA’s savviest funds and participate in an interactive Q&A on all things venture and start-up. Panelists will include Erik Rannala, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Mucker Capital, and David Waxman, Managing Partner at TenOneTen.
