Session Title - Putting people to work through responsible e-waste recycling.

Peek into the world of this electronics recycling concern located near Downtown LA. Isidore is one of the most celebrated social enterprises in the City of LA, making good on its promise of responsibly recycling electronics and building e-waste infrastructure in Southern California, while employing Angelenos who face severe barriers to work (the majority of our employees have spent time in the criminal justice system). This session will start with a hands-on tour through the e-waste recycling and refurbishing process and complete with contest, inviting attendees to see who can take apart a computer the quickest. From there, attendees will have the opportunity to join a robust discussion with the Isidore team about how the company puts people to work who have the hardest time finding employment. Good, clean, warehouse fun.
